I write slowly, mostly about reading, handwriting, and the small mechanics of how text sits on a page. This site is where those essays end up once they have stopped changing every morning.

Nothing here is sponsored, and there are no ads. If an essay mentions a book or a pen, it is because I used it and had something to say about it.

About this site

The site is built with Astro and the Pilcrow theme. The body face is Newsreader, the interface face is Inter, and the only color besides ink and paper is the red a rubricator would have used for the ¶ mark.
